The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Public School System (CNMI PSS) in collaboration with TIPG hosted the last week of a 2-week training program in efforts to expand the CNMI PSS distance learning population to all levels of education.
The 2005 Technology Institute focused on the creation, structure, and organization of quality web-based courses. Teachers were introduced and trained on the use of various educational technologies including video teleconferencing, an ecourse management system called the Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment- moodle and an ecourse development system called Tegrity. TIPG will continue to support the progress and expansion of the educational workforce in the Pacific Region through training and professional development programs.
